Well, well, here we are, with the old year approaching closure, and the new one creeping up to take its place. There are many more posts from this past half-year that I'd like to share, to keep you, Constant Reader (thanx 2 Stephen King), updated with my methods of happy madness... So without any more chest-thumping, I humbly submit Part 2.......

Concerning the Chile mine rescue... "That'll teach men to think twice before having a mistress - you never know when you'll get trapped in a mine & have to deal with the wife in front of the whole world if & when you finally surface..." - FB 10.14.2010

Wishful naive thinking... "REGARDING THE HUNGARIAN SLUDGE FLOOD---How about this entire civilization on Earth stopping building for awhile and instead go around and fix all the rusting, cracking, leaking structures from decades past so we can put an end to or at least lower the number of occurrences like this???" - FB 10.9.2010

ORIGINAL POST-October 8 at 3:55pm :
"I read recently that there is no specific part of the Constitution that requires the separation of church and state... However, wouldn't it be nice to see the Constitution separate religion and politics???"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Atheists... "...what I don't understand is how atheists, etc. cry foul if they see even the slightest bit of "religion" anywhere in the public eye, yet I don't care if they want to "not believe", AND it doesn't seem to me that anyone is "forcing it down their throat" if people decide to do something as simple as say a prayer in a school or elsewhere... This country was founded on Christian values, although they ARE values that all rational people consider decent and true...government on any level does not necessarily have to oppose church opinions, but they often seem to do so... " - FB 10.12.2010

Regarding the new Webb Space Telescope, due to replace the Hubble ST soon...
" But caution, ladies & gentle men - like Ducky said last night on NCIS: " Nietschze said, ' if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you...' " " - FB 10.27.2010

In response to a crude post from my nephew... "We are only in the infancy of the Internet, and there are countless billions, trillions, & zillions of bits of data on it & so much more to come - the entire history of the world & the Universe itself - the long & storied epoch of man & all the various forms of life in their unbelievable diversity - the sheer immensity & magnitude of all the thoughts & actions that have ever been, are being & will be - and each one of us only having a relatively short span of time to live & achieve & influence, not to mention that not a one of us has the slightest idea most of the time just how long we will live - and this is the best you have to offer with your post???" Comment posted by SCH on Barack Obama's post 10.31.2010:
(also posted on FB home 10.31 with comments added on 10.31 & 11.1.2010):
" If anybody read the article on the stimulus on Yahoo! News last month, then they have to be blind or stupid or both NOT to be impressed with the ambitious scope & good intent of its reach - Republicans & their Tea-Wasting Party friends have nothing to do but oppose PRESIDENT Barack Obama just as they did when Pres. Clinton was in office. They come up with a million reasons to put down the stimulus AND the health care legislation as dangerous, frivolous & wasteful. They also don't have the patience to let things improve under these programs - they would have the population believe that it should have miraculously turned around the economy by now, but the truth is that Bush & his cronies, after 8 years, put us in such a mess that it's a wonder we haven't already gone down the tubes into chaos, anarchy & societal breakdown. I wouldn't doubt for a minute that Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney & his Halliburton associates often had (& probably still have) nefarious intentions & secret agendas - think of Blackwater with their suspiciously violent activities in Iraq( a friend of mine argued 'what was wrong with Blackwater & Halliburton? They were just doing jobs they were hired to do') and Halliburton's wonderful cement job on the Deepwater oil rig... and what about the Trilateral Commision and the Bilderberg group - somehow I get the sneaking suspicion that they don't have everybody's best interests in mind. Governing this world and keeping its societies operating sufficiently and managing them well enough to keep them from becoming chaotic is an immensely tough challenge for all world leaders, I'm sure - but to think that they ALL have our well-being in mind is naive. There are many in this world that would love to see populations thinned out by design or disasters(natural AND man-made) to make it easier to share resources now & into the future. May God bless President Obama & the Democrats & the Republicans & everyone else. We need cooperation, agreements to disagree and still do the right things, and a little humilty to heal the state of man & the Earth. ~~~ Thank you for your time, Sven Christian Hasselriis 10.31.2010 8:15pm "

Regarding the possibility of George Dubya Bush's brother Jeb running for president in 2012 -
" ...well, the next thing you know ol' Jeb's a millionaire; the kinfolk said, "Jeb, move away from there"; they said, "Pennsylvania Avenue's the place you ought to go"; so he packed up his bags and he moved to Beverly.... Beverly's basement, that is.... pool games & drunken beer parties..... The Florida Hillbillies!!!"

A friend posted this regarding Sarah Palin... "I'm seriously offended by Sarah Palin's using the word "bastard" with negative connotations .. I used to feel TERRIBLE when I was young because that's what I was technically. If we can't use retard she shouldn't use bastard. Jus' sayin' ... "
My response - "You're absolutely right!!! She is not a r*t*rd - she is developmentally unabled - her father must've been a b*st*rd for raising her to turn out the way she did - so I guess her mother was a b*tch - hey, what do I know ??? They might be perfectly lovely psychopaths, for all we know..." AND
"When she said she could see Russia from her front yard, I e-mailed her & told her if she climbs onto her roof, she'll be able to see the Kremlin!!!" FB 11.01.2010

Thoughts on the "Tea" Party - "The Coffee Party will arise & sweep them & their fancy tea bags under the political rug!!!!" FB 11/.01.2010

My advice to fellow FBers concerning my conservative friend... "Watch out, he's a closet commie pinko!!! I think I read too many Mad magazines.... just kidding,(conservative friend's name) - I know you're a supporter of Kim Jong Il & his wonderful "Democratic" nation.... wait, I meant Hugo Chavez & HIS wonderful "Democratic" country.... or was it former president (Ras)Putin & his wonderful Russian republic...? ...I hope the best people get elected - Bernie Madoff for President(of the Jail Bridge Club, that is )!!!!!!! I like Madoff- he made off with a lot of dough.... I wonder who HASN'T BEEN CAUGHT YET???"
